Ohio EPA has sampled Flat Branch subwatershed 11 times at a total of 5 sites since 1979.  Flat Branch is designated Modified Warm Water Habitat(MWH)a    Additional testing was done on Flat Branch during summer 2006.  It will be listed when the information becomes available.

a. Modified Warmwater Habitat(MWH) Criteria: IBI=24, Mod. Iwb=5.8 and  ICI=22

b. IBI=Index of Biotic Integrity

c. Mod. Iwb= Modified Index of Well-being

d. Narrative evaluation is used in lieu of Invertebrate Community Index(ICI) for qualitative samples:

    G= Good, MG=Marginally Good (a non-significant departure from WWH) and F=Fair

e. ICI ranges for narrative evaluations: Good(36-40), MG(32-34) and Fair(14-30)

f. QHEI=Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index
