Stream/Channel Definitions
Watercourse(WC):
any
concentrated flow of water
Stream(ST):
a watercourse that existed historically and has a steady flow of water

Stream(MS):
a watercourse that existed historically; has a steady flow of water but has been
altered by man at some time in the past to better serve other uses
Channel(CH):
a watercourse that existed historically and has periods of intermittent or no
water flow
Modified
Channel(MC): a watercourse that existed historically and has periods of
intermittent or no water flow, but has been altered by man at some time in the
past to better serve other uses
Man-Made Channel(MMC):
a watercourse that did not exist historically and has periods of intermittent or
no water flow (also known as a Ditch)
Maintained Man-Made Channel(MMMC):
a watercourse that did not exist historically, has periods of
intermittent or no water flow, and is maintained under an authorized
government program
